Recently I was visiting a good friend of mine who shares the same passion for a video game that I play. It’s called World of Tanks, where one plays a vintage tank commander. It is mix of strategy and brawn rolled into one. While my friend was demonstrating a maneuver, his son got into the game play and offered tactical advice. He was so cute and so serious!

Easy Full Moon

This gorgeous full moon was captured last night here in the bay area. Taking full moon shots need not be difficult. This shot in fact, was shot hand held, albeit using a stabilized lens. The key thing to remember is to expose for the luminosity of the moon, not the night sky. Easiest way to do this is to use spot metering on your camera and take note of the exposure reading. Place your mode dial to manual and set the aperture and shutter to those to those found on your reading. Have fun!

Camera used: GF1 with 45-200mm OIS. Set at 200mm (400mm equiv), f5.6 @ 1/400th, ISO 200.
